AWAKENED WOMAN E-ZINE

Awakened Woman is an emerging online magazine for women.
Our aim is to become the alternative woman's journal on the Net, "a
place to connect for healing, empowerment, and action," with articles,
forums, networking opportunities and links to the women's network. Our
purpose is closely aligned with WOVA's: to call women together for vision
and action.
We started the project in 1999 with the intent of bringing
forward the goddess spirituality movement and examining the workings
of the divine feminine as a growing force throughout the world. We are
now expanding our focus from that point, still including the mythology
and practice of goddess spirituality but placing greater emphasis on
current issues, profiles of contemporary women, and women's art.

I'd like to invite members of WOVA to participate in developing our
site. I think you'll find that Awakened Woman is a suitable venue for
you to use to share your experiences and ideas. Contributions of articles
and art are most welcome. Perhaps you know someone we ought to profile,
an event we should list on our events calendar, or a pressing issue
we should address. Or you may have some ideas you'd like to share about
the direction we ought to take during the next five years. I'd be delighted
to hear from you! We are in the process of developing our business plan
and there are ways you can help.

We need advice about how to become a viable enterprise.

We'd benefit from the guidance of a mentor who knows
the ways of the business world.

We are also seeking investors who'd like to sponsor
the development of our site to serve the many women who are awakening
to their powers and are ready to work towards the transformation
of our culture into one based on sustainability, respect, loving
relationship and wisdom, where money is the means to secure planetary
well-being rather than an end in itself.

We're also looking for grants to develop a nonprofit
organization, Awakened Woman's Circle, which will take on projects
to benefit women, beginning with retreats for mothers and their
teenage daughters.
Awakened Woman is an ambitious project. With your support,
we will be able to grow into our vision and build an online presence
with compelling content and wide appeal to the wonderful women who are
